B+H architects sought the aid of Red Gate to arrange their public relations and government relations campaign for the 20-year anniversary in China celebration.
The Butterfly Pavilion is a new structure, built on the crest of a hill within Daning Lingshi Park, which is designed and donated by B+H Architects to the people of Shanghai, as a gift to celebrate the Canadian firm’s 20 years of practice in China. The park is centrally located and is the largest green park in Shanghai.
The opening ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 31. The Official Ceremonies were presided over by Mr. Lin Longbin, Deputy Governor of Zhabei District, Mr. Rick Savone, Consul General from the Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai, and Ms. Karen Cvornyek, President Asia, B+H Architects.
Red Gate worked with B+H and the Zhabei municipal government to secure a plot of land in Daning Lingshi Park upon which the structure was built. Red Gate also secured print and television media coverage; VIP attendees including representatives from Canadian and Chinese business and government; as well as organized the opening event itself (which included provider sourcing, entertainment booking, site preparation, guest sign-in, event management, etc.)
